Bocca in Dortmund

Unfortunately a very long delivery time. The stated time was 40 minutes and at the end it was 2 full hours. The pizza was ordered with extra peppers and they were completely missing even though they were paid for. In addition, all dishes were cold. The pasta or the pack of pasta was deformed / dented. No recommendation for an order.

Had a bit of difficulty reserving a table as no one answered the phone at any time of the day. It worked on the last attempt. When asked, the staff told us that they were working on it. The ambience at the Phönixsee is very nice and the food was something different for the Italian cuisine. We'll be back.

We reserved my mother's birthday with great reservations, as the feedback from our friends was not entirely positive. Not even close ! Top service top speed super nice staff from the service staff to the pizza baker! Thank you for the great evening !!

The food was delicious, but the service is a disaster! The tables are assigned twice in the evening (one after the other), so that despite a reservation you have to wait 30 minutes until the previous guests have cleared the table, as you don't want to point this out to them. You have to plan long waiting times for the card, for orders, etc.

In August I celebrated my 70th birthday at BOCCA. To keep it short: It was a perfect evening with great service (thanks to you Samy) and excellent delicious food, in a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The beautiful evening was preceded by uncomplicated, professional planning and organization. Thanks to all involved! My "second 70th" I would definitely celebrate here again :)

Super nice staff. We were greeted warmly immediately. The food was very good too. We had a pizza, salad and a starter. I can really recommend dad locally. We would love to come back

Very tasty food, great menu, good drinks and great location. We had a great evening! Tiramisu was awesome! Great value for money! Offering drinks like cola etc. in small bottles, that fits better in such a location than filling glasses. Staff was very nice, but could be more attentive. At our table you could have turned over € 50 more if you had asked us more regularly about drinks. Rosé selection could also be reconsidered. Unfortunately, out of three rosés, only one was available and it was mediocre. The atmosphere itself was very nice but also very loud, unfortunately we didn't hear anything from the music. Arranging the pasta could also be a bit more professional. The pasta was very tasty but it was just slapped on the plate. It is well known that the eye also eats. Here and there you can turn a few screws, but we'd love to come back.

I got to know this restaurant because some Italian friends suggested me that. I had today my dinner and as foreign I have to say that I felt like at home, elegant environment, welcoming and warming staff. My favourite were the tagliatelle al tartufo which I highly recommend. Thanks guys I will see you next time.

Best Pizza in Town! ?

I ate pizza there, the pizza was good, unfortunately the base was too thin and a bit not occupied. Instead a lot of tomato sauce which made the thin dough very loose. Otherwise good ambience. We would have been promised a surprise based on the rating. Since nothing came after a while I was disappointed and deduct 2 stars.

One star is for the good wine list;) Unfortunately, the food was not convincing. At first half of the ingredients on my dish were missing from the menu ... then it was taken back, made again, but with completely different ingredients ... it was said to take it back again, but then I got it just ate anyway, because everyone else had almost eaten when it finally came .... although it wasn't what I would have liked ... unfortunately there was no apology for the like. The food of the others was ok, but also rather average, nothing special ...

We will definitely visit the restaurant again. The pizza was unfortunately not to our taste. The salad was delicious. The staff is very friendly and the location is great .....

We were at Bocca for the first time and were immediately impressed by the location. On the subject of food, very, very good! Seldom eaten such a good pizza in Dortmund, so I give it 5 stars! On the subject of service, there is still a bit of a problem with the agreements between the waiters. But if it is worked on, it is also 5 stars We will be back definitely :)

We came across the restaurant because of the article in the Ruhr-Nachrichten. The bad Google reviews made me puzzled, but since we were at Phoenix Lake today, we gave the Bocca a chance. The food came within 20 minutes. The service is very nice and the ambience is very nice! The pizza, the burger and also the truffle pasta were really great !!! We will be back definitely!

Yesterday I went to Bocca Essen for the first time with my girlfriend and I am completely satisfied. Right at the beginning we were greeted in a very friendly manner by the employee Gianluca and quickly escorted to a table that we had not reserved in advance. The table was right next to the kitchen, which is why we were able to observe very nice insights into the workings of the kitchen staff and the preparation of the individual dishes. I was very enthusiastic about the care and hygiene that prevails there. However, this is the case in the entire restaurant and makes for a good feeling, especially in Corona times. Although the kitchen was in the immediate vicinity, we never felt disturbed or observed ourselves. Gianluca was not only our "usher" but also responsible for our table and immediately took the order, which was served within a very short time, it took less than 10 minutes and our drinks and food were at our place. Has never happened to me in this form before. Very competent, carefully and quickly! Let's stick with the food, in addition to the large selection of dishes, the amount of edible items should be appreciated. The portions are more than adequate and filling. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. In terms of taste, the pizzas we ordered were traditionally Italian and incredibly tasty. Simply great! The drinks were nicely prepared by the bartender "Lio" and then brought to our table personally, which was rounded off by his very open and friendly demeanor. I am absolutely satisfied with my visit there and have nothing to complain about. Even when we left the restaurant, we were given a very friendly goodbye, you just went home with a good feeling. This place is a very good address if you want to have a good time with delicious food. Combined with a beautiful ambience and staff that leaves nothing to be desired, you can simply take a break from the happenings at Phönixsee here.

We were there today around 6 p.m. and it was no problem to get a seat for 2 people without a reservation. The order was taken by the very friendly and courteous waiter Gianluca. After a little more than 10 minutes, our meal was ready. We went for pizza and that was spot on. Delicious. The drinks were needed very quickly and were great. Overall, the staff was friendly and in a very good mood. Also the nice gentleman behind the bar :) Really great shop with a great atmosphere! I can only recommend it.

After a lot of criticism I dared myself today! Semih served and advised us wonderfully over three courses. Everything tasted fresh and very good. Pasta was really hot too. We didn't have to wait long and were also asked if we had any wishes ... if it tasted, etc. So here and tonight for drinks, food and service honest 5 stars!

Excellent restaurant in a beautiful city setting. As an Italian who comes to Germany for work I can say that the tastes and flavors are good unlike many Italian restaurants in Germany where the classic Italian cuisine has been changed. Kind the girl at the entrance who found us a table for 6. Quick and kind waiters. Excellent pizza and pasta. The salmon fillet accompanied by potatoes and truffle cream is also excellent. I recommend going there for those in the area

The place was packed on a Friday night, but while waiting in line we got served a complementary beer and quickly got a table for our group. Outstanding service and great bang for the buck. Definitely will return.

Been there by accident for the first time today. I noticed the nice ambience while walking past. Once there we were greeted warmly and brought to our table. There is a very pleasant atmosphere here that invites you to linger. The shop is very clean, hygiene is taken care of here. Next time I will come earlier and try the food. I can recommend it to everyone to drink!
